2027: GDI Declares Support For Rep Jimbo, Photos
AKWA IBOM-A staunch socio-political organization called Grassgroot Development Initiative(GDI) has held her inauguration and declared total support for the member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency, Hon Jimbo today, Saturday 26th April, 2025 at Wonder Land, Abak.
During the event, the National Coordinator of the group, Hon Ephraim Philip in his inaugural speech, stated that the group was geared towards advocating for peace, equity, fairness, justice and good governance at the rural level and to encourage and support credible leaders to actualize their dreams in the next political dispensation come 2027.
He further stated that GDI had taken a unanimous decision to ensure that Hon Clement Jimbo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are voted into power again during the next election promising further to expand the number of GDI Membership to reach 12 thousand membership before the end of 2025.
The high point of the event was the presentation of Award Of Honour to the member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency, Hon Clement Jimbo as the patron of Grassroot Development Initiative(GDI) and the presentation of Award Of Excellence to the Senate President of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria, His Excellency, Chief(Dr) Godswill Akpabio, GCON as the Grand Patron of the group.
While speaking, Hon Clement Jimbo advised the people to remain committed and steadfast to the hope which drives us as nation builders. He prayed that the God of the lowly who picked him up and made him an honourable personality, would also single out other young persons from the federal constituency for more of such elevations.
Rep. Jimbo further asked the people to gear towards returning The President Of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, The Senate President, Chief (Dr) Godswill Akpabio, the Governor Of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Imo Bassey Eno, the member representing Oruk Anam/Ukanafun Federal Constituency, Rt (Hon) Unyime Idem, the member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, Rt(Hon) Udo-Mkpong, the member representing Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara/Essien Udim Federal Constituency and himself, Hon Clement Jimbo for another term for continuity and effectiveness to abound.
Lots of goodwill messages were presented during the function, some of which were from the APC Chapter Chairman of Ika,Hon Joseph John and Dr Emaitoro Nseyo who both affirmed that Hon Clement Jimbo should be massively returned to the Green Chamber for another term for growth and development in Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency.
