Community Youths Kills Final-Year Student Over N150
Panic has gripped the Niger Delta University, (NDU) Amassoma, Bayelsa State, following the killing of a final year student of the institution by some community youths.
The deceased identified as Francis Paleowei and a first-class student of the department of Political Science was said to have been attacked by the youths while playing at Ammassoma sand dump.
Amassoma sand dump is a popular spot where students of the institution often go to relax and socialize.
According to sources, the perpetrators demanded N150 from Francis, and when he refused, they attacked and killed him.
The deceased was from Obrigbene in Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state.
Meanwhile, the incident has caused an unrest in the university community.
