Ikono First lady celebrates 2021 New year born baby IKONO FIRST LADY MRS OTOBONG NYAKNO OKOIBU CELEBRATES 2021 NEW YEAR BABY
The wife of the Executive Chairman of Ikono Local Government, Mrs. Otobong Nyakno Okoibu, yesterday, January first, 2021, visited and celebrated the first born child in the Area in the spirit of the new year festivity describing the babe as a gift from God to humanity.
The Chairman’s wife made the declaration during her visit to the Primary Health Centre, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo, in Ikono Local Government Area, where she was received by the Director of Health to the Centre, Mr. Effiong Okono.
With joy, Mrs Nyakno described the new baby girl born into the family of Mr & Mrs Solomon David of Nung Ukim Ikot Etefia as a special daughter to Ikono, noting that, children are vessels through which God’s blessings and upliftment are fulfilled to the nation.
Speaking further, Mrs Nyakno, appreciated all the members of her entourage for making out time to accompany her to visit the new year baby, describing them as good team players and therefore sued for continued support to build Ikono Local Government to an enviable height.
In his speech, the Director of Health , Mr Effiong Okono, thanked the First Lady for her kind gestures and said her actions has exceedingly spoken volumes with imprints upon the hearts of staff of the Centre and the entire Ikono people. Mr Okono implored the Female Political Stakeholders in the area to replicate this magnanimity in all the thirteen health facilities spread across the thirteen wards in Ikono local government in times like this.
Assisted by the wife of the State House of Assembly Member, Barr. (Mrs) Asuquo Nana Udo and Council Secretary, Obonganwan (Mrs.) Ofon Mike, the First Lady of Ikono Local Government presented valuable gifts to the 2021 special baby whom she nicknamed “Adiaha Ikono”. Also presented with gift items were, the Christmas baby and one other baby who equally received the first Lady’s magnanimity.
Other dignitaries present at the event were, Etieka Maria Etop Eshiet, Hon. Otobong Essien, Obonganwan Glory Akpan, Mrs. Iniobong Okon and the Women Development Officer, (WDO),Mrs. Ifiokobong Lawrence. Others were, the Heads and supervisors of all the Health facilities in the Area.
