BREAKING: Fear Grips Abuja Residents As Massive Abductions Hit FCT
A woman, her six-month-old baby and two other children have been reportedly abducted by gunmen suspected to be bandits at the Zone 5 segment of the Kubwa Extension 2 Relocation Estate along Arab Road in the Federal Capital Territory.
It was learnt that the gunmen struck between 8 pm and 9 pm on Sunday, shooting indiscriminately and causing pandemonium in the area.
A resident told The PUNCH that kidnapping has become a usual occurrence in the area every December.
Another resident noted, “This kidnapping is due to a lack of adequate security in the area. Last night they kidnapped a whole family – a mother and her three children, including a six-month-old baby here at Zone 5, Kubwa Extension 2 Relocation estate.”
The FCT Police Command has yet to make an official comment concerning the development.
However, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, when contacted on Monday promised to find out about the incident and get back to the reporter.
