VIDEO: Armed Robbery Suspects Caught Wearing Police Uniforms

Two individuals, reportedly impersonating police officers, have been apprehended in Lagos State for suspected armed robbery.

A video shared online shows the suspects being paraded by genuine Nigeria Police Force personnel, with their arms and weapons on display.

According to the video’s narrator, the duo had been masquerading as Inspectors to extort and rob unsuspecting Lagos residents.

“With complete uniform, wearing Inspector rank, Lagos don turn into another thing,” the narrator said.

The Lagos State Police Command has not yet released an official statement regarding the arrest of two suspected armed robbers impersonating police officers.

The incident has raised questions about the identities of the suspects and the subsequent actions to be taken by the police.

It was reported In November 2022, how certain officers, including Inspector Saratu, Joy, and Shehu at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, were accused of issuing fake appointment letters to constable applicants in exchange for large sums of money.
