A KEYNOTE ADDRESS DELIVERED DURING THE PRESS CONFERENCE ORGANIZED TO REVITALIZE THE DEFUNCT UNITED AFRICAN STATES (UAS) AT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION COMMISSION HALL, CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT ABUJA, NIGERIA, AFRICA, 19TH SEPTEMBER, 2024.
BY 10:00 AM.
TOPIC: THE AUDAUCITY OF HOPE IN THE NEW ERA FOR ECONOMIC AND GEOPOLITICAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEW AFRICA’S WORLD.
Distinguished leaders, esteemed colleagues, honoured guests, the general audience, ladies and gentlemen of the press.
It is with a sense of urgency and deep commitment to the future of our continent that I stand before you today. Africa, the cradle of humanity, endowed with immense natural resources and rich cultural heritage, has for too long been ensnared by the invisible shackles of economic hegemony and poverty imposed by ourselvs and exercaberted by foreign powers. The time has come for African nations to liberate themselves from these constraints and chart a new course toward economic sovereignty, prosperity, and a more equitable future for all-and-sundry.
As we gather here, it is crucial that we recognize that the liberation of African countries from economic dependency, poverty and elevation to equal status with other continents in every wise is not just a political necessity but a moral imperative. We must seize this moment to redefine our relationship with the global economy, harness our potential, and create a future where African nations and entire Global Ethnic African Race ( GEAR) thrive both independently and collaboratively.
United African States (UAS) is a body established by United African Diasporan States (UADS). She consists of People of African Descent, as declared by the United Nations, so identifield by their DNA and spread all over the continents of the world. The United African States is therefore made up of all the fifty four (54) nation-states in Africa and the diaspora region to be fifty fifth (55th) state of the UADS , comprising of African descendants in diaspora.
One of the Pan African sons who lived their Life for the success of UADS in person of late Prof Brimmy A.U. Olaghere on 6th January, 2016, made a patriotic statement and I quote
” I am glad to use this historical medium to announce the final affricative arrival of the United African States. Yes, it is true that Africa had become one nation and one people here or there since January 31, 2010 when the declaration was made by the African leaders in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. For and on behalf of the following fathers, who had lived, had worked and died for this day to come: sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa of Nigeria, Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana, William Edward Burghardt Du-Bois of USA African American, Julius Nyerere of Tanzania, Abdul Nasser of Egypt, Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya, Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia, Modibo Keita of Mali, Ahmed Sekou Toure of Guinea, Ahmed Ben Belah of Morocco and Leopold Senghor of Senegal; because I am a living witness of their roles and the contributions that they have made and the seed they sowed which had germinated that had grown matured fruits that are now being harvested. Their dreams although belated have come true. Yes, Africans are united to serving God’s purpose.
The African geopolitical independent seed planted by the old era hope which had germinated and bear fruits is now ready for harvest here and now. Let us thank, President Barack Obama of United States of America, George Walker Bush and William Jefferson Clinton of America for their support and contributions for the Unity cause.
Let us observe a minute silence in honour of late Prof Brimming A U. Olaghere. May his soul rest in peace!
This his statement is a reawakening and revamping of the hope of the African descents the world over for the good of all-and-sundry.
Furthermore, to give audacity and authority to UADS, United African States Constitution was ratified on October 20th 2016 at William Edward Burghardt Du-Bois Centre , Accra Ghana. The constitution is in circulation throughout the world,With the joint efforts of all intellectual Africans and African Diaspora. With the support of African leaders, the diaspora became 6th region of Africa and all Africans in diaspora become dual citizens of Africa with equal privileges to carry and equal rights to claim in the affairs of Africa. It is no longer news that the absence of purposeful unity and strong will among the Africans, the global ethnic African race is the poorest and that she will remain so, if we do not seek and find solution to it.
The vision, not only to recognise our common descent and unite, but also to contribute to protect and develop Africa, our motherland regardless of where on the globe we now live, was concieved decades ago and it is at the point of delivery. United African States in this regard, is promoting intergration and unity of Africa as inshrined in the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as ammended on foreign policy Section 19 sub (b) calling for integration, unity in diversity to adapt to the changes of the world economic order. Africa must join the moving trend as equal partner in the growth, development, industrialization and prosperity of the world for peaceful coexistence. We need to seek and find equality in the world and a lasting solution to the world’s socioeconomics disparity, disequilibrium, lack of love, peaceful coexistence and prosperity.
As part of massive decisions taken as an action plan, Nigeria was made the financial and economic hub for the entire African race.
Additionally, to guarantee financial viability, on March 03, 2003, over 10, 895 Africans and African descendants in diaspora from 66 countries held summit in Washington, DC.USA and the summit formed Committee to write a plan for the establishment of New Africa’s World Bank. Upon submission of the proposal, the general Assembly of the Summit adopted the proposal as working document for the establishment of the New Africa’s World Bank [NAW-BANK] to finance all infrastructures and development projects in Africa.
A working committee for the establishment of the NAW-BANK was formed, With Late Prof. Brimmy A. U. Olaghere of blessed memory, as elected Chairman of the Committee. The late Professor with his team called for creation of contributory common fund by Africans in diaspora and other governments of the world especially those that have African interest at heart. This, in their opinion, will be used to address infrastructural decay in Africa as starting point.
In response, there was an establishment of United States Africa’s Infrastructural Development Fund (USAID-FUND) in 1997 by US President, Bill Clinton. It was a fund created so that all Africans and African friends will contribute towards the construction of Africa. This first ever Fund was established with US $350 million and is placed under Overseas Private Investment Consortium (OPIC) Management.
Again, President George Bush increased the USAID-FUND by US $3.8 billion in 2004.
In May 2008, President Barack Obama Contributed US $80.6billion to the Fund. Besides, African descendants contributed at different times and it amounted to US $10.00 billion.
Additionally, Chinese Government also created Chinese Africa’s Development Fund (CHAD FUND) in 2009 with US $5 billion. It increased to US $10.00 billion in 2013 and now US $30 billion.
Interestingly, to practically build Africa, the UAS designed a 100 years Infrastructural Development Plan for entire Africa and the Ten(10) Years New Nigeria’s infrastructural development Master plan which covers the first ten (10) years of the hundred (100) years plan. In the plan, there are constructions of bridges, superhighways, highways, railways, Schools, Universities, houses, airports, ultra-modern hospitals, mechanized farming facilities and lots more.
Today, we are happy to tell Mr. President His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that not only has Nigeria been selected to be the global headquarters of this powerful and economically impactful movement to build Africa, our home but it will be the first beneficiary of the tranforming projects.
The UAS leadership in Nigeria is here to officially call for strategic partnership, support and understanding of the current Nigerian leadership under the headship of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The New Nigeria Ten years Infrastructure Development plan explained above, will lay a foundation for economic bedrock in Africa. This drive obvously fits into the the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration. How fast we are able to move collectively depends entirly on how much government keys into this. We will only succeed in this partnership when our President endorsed to work with us collectively and deliver on both our plans and his Excellency’s Renewed Hope Agenda and other promises to Nigerians.
The anticipated economic impact (of job creation, addressing unemployment gap, absolute poverty, braindrain and infrastructural deficit bedeviling our society among others) is massive. The nature and time has proved to us that Africa is the world, Africa will rule the world, the world cannot do without Africa because we are the integral part of entire human value chain.
We must integrate, librate and create economic fortunes using our God given endowment. Africa must be ready to provide what it take to create a socio-economic and geo-political tenet that will end poverty, ignorance, illiteracy and disequilibrium to native Africans and African descendants in the world.
In conclusion, distinguished colleagues, ladies and gentlemen, the liberation of Africa from economic hegemony and poverty is within our reach, but it requires bold action and unwavering commitment. We must reject the status quo of dependency and exploitation and instead embrace a vision of self-reliance, solidarity, and shared prosperity.
The time has come for Africa to stand on its own feet, to chart its own course, and to build a future that reflects the dignity, potential, and aspirations of our people. Let us rise to this challenge, with courage and determination, and create a new dawn of economic liberation for Africa.
Long live People of African Descent!

Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!

Hon. Ato Ephraim Terngu.
