This was made known in a statement issued by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Abuja, Nigerian capital.

Along with other foundation leaders, Gates will engage with experts in Nigeria’s primary health care, agriculture, and nutrition who are advancing progress across Africa despite economic hurdles.

He will also take part in a pan-African virtual dialogue aimed at tackling malnutrition through integrated solutions in health, agriculture, and financing.

The statement further noted that a Musician, educator, and humanitarian, Jon Batiste, will join Gates for the discussion.

The statement added that the foundation has pledged over $7 billion through 2026 to support African countries and institutions in developing and implementing innovative strategies to address hunger, disease, gender inequality, and poverty.
