EXPOSED: What Bobrisky Secretly Told EFCC Before Regaining Freedom

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted bail to popular cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, following his recent detention.

Bobrisky was stopped on Thursday night while attempting to board a KLM flight to Amsterdam from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, en route to London, United Kingdom.

Shortly after the incident, he informed his social media followers, claiming he sustained injuries during the encounter.

“Nigerians, help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured,” Bobrisky posted.

He was later flown to the EFCC’s Abuja headquarters, where he faced questioning over allegations of bribery directed at the agency.

In a voice recording shared by outspoken critic Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky allegedly claimed he offered N15 million to EFCC officials to dismiss money laundering charges against him.

After finalizing his bail arrangements late Friday night, Bobrisky was released after explaining his own part of the story to the anti-graft agency.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed his release on Saturday but refrained from giving further details.

A source familiar with the situation revealed that Bobrisky, in a statement to the EFCC, denied any bribery, challenging the authenticity of the voice note.

“He denied everything about releasing money to any official as a bribe to drop the money laundering charges against him. He denied it in his statement. He said the fellow who posted the voice note should come over to justify it. He said nobody requested money from him in the EFCC and he didn’t give anyone anything,” stated the source
