BREAKING: Bobrisky Moves To Commit Suicide Amid N15m Bribery Saga
Bobrisky, the social media celebrity, has opened up about struggling with suicidal thoughts.
The crossdresser, whose birth name is Idris Okuneye, was released from prison on August 5 after she was sentenced to six months on April 12 for abusing the naira.
Her ordeal started on Tuesday after VeryDarkMan, born Martins Otse, shared a purported audio recording online wherein she claimed she bribed some Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials with N15,000,000 to drop the charges against her.
The self-proclaimed transgender described the viral recording as โfakeโ. She argued that she did not pay any amount to the anti-graft agency.
The social media celebrity also insisted that โI served my term in prisonโ.
Her denial came after the anti-graft agency invited VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky over bribery allegations against its officials.
Ola Olukoyede, the EFCC chairman, also ordered an immediate investigation into the allegations.
Similarly, Falz, the rapper, appeared to have confirmed a part of VeryDarkManโs claims in a warning letter to the activist.
In a letter demanding the activist to retract his allegation, Falz claimed the crossdresser called him to seek financial assistance of โN3 million to pay some officials to get a VIP prison sectionโ โ which he declined.
But on Thursday in a post on Instastory, Bobrisky revealed the emotional toll of the whole saga.
The crossdresser also emphasised that she does not seek sympathy but longs for understanding and support.
โI have never in my life thought about suicide in my life but now is coming to my head seeing what human being are doing to their fellow human just in d name you want to bring them down by force or because you donโt like them,โ she wrote.
โI donโt need no sympathy from anyone. People i might have need sympathy from are my late parent. But who will fight for you? Friends? HATERS YOU WON.โ
