PHOTOS: Senator Bassey Shut Down Akwa Ibom With Massive Solar-powered Boreholes, Construction Of Classrooms
The Senator representing Uyo Senatorial District, Aniekan Bassey has officially commenced the construction of Boreholes and Classrooms in each local government area of the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District.
The district-wide project (Borehole/Classroom), which is aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure, providing a conducive learning environment for students and better water for rural communities, was kicked off on Wednesday at Methodist College, Afaha Atai, in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area for the Classroom Block, and in Ikot Otong, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area for the Solar-Powered Borehole.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Senator Aniekan Bassey, who was represented by the Director General of Team Aniekan Bassey, Barrister Godwin Awah, Ph.D, reiterated his commitment to improving access to clean water in the rural areas and basic education and ensuring that schools in the district have the necessary facilities to support learning.

According to Senator Bassey, โthe project is expected to be completed within a short timeframe for the benefit of students and community dwellers across the senatorial district.
Community leaders, education stakeholders, and local government representatives applauded the initiative, describing it as a significant step toward educational and community development in the district.
