His current re-deployment is a standard procedure carried out at the discretion of the Inspector General of Police when police officers are promoted.

Mba, who was on international course with other top officers of the Force, including Abdulrasheed Bawa, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, is expected to be re-deployed once he returns from the course, sources disclosed

“The Course is typically for senior officers, and once they complete it, they are automatically redeployed.” Mba on his part is long overdue since his promotion to the rank Commissioner,” our insider claimed.

However, Frank Mba strategically lobbied to be assigned to Lagos but his request was turned down by the Police Authority due to his history with the city.

The Enugu-born officer and educated lawyer, who was a former Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer before quitting the office, is scheduled to step down from his current position before the end of December after a meritorious service.

After completing his primary education, he attended the Nigeria Police Academy in Kano, where he graduated in 1993 as the best cadet inspector in academics.

Frank Mba graduated from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) with a degree in law and was admitted to the Nigerian bar in 2002. He relocated to Dundee, Scotland, to pursue his Master’s Degree in Law at the University of Dundee.

He holds a National and International Security certificate from Harvard University in the United States of America. Frank is also a Quantico, USA, alumnus of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy.
