Drama As Hisbah Order Psychiatric And Drug Evaluation For Man Seen Licking Goat’s Geπitalia In Viral TikTok Video
Shamsu Yakubu, A 24-year-old man, has been arrested by the Kano State Islamic morality police, Hisbah, for a video showing him licking the genitalia of a she-goat on TikTok.
The suspect, who hails from Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of Kano State, was recorded instructing another person to film him during the act. The disturbing footage quickly went viral on social media and drew public outrage from residents and netizens alike.
In the video, Shamsu said he was doing the act “to trend” and gain online attention.
Furious over the video, members of the community threatened to take action against him. A local leader stepped in and reported the incident to the Hisbah Board, which led to his arrest on Tuesday.
When interrogated, Shamsu denied actually licking the goat’s genitalia and claimed he only placed his mouth near the animal’s private parts.
He said it was the first time he had done anything like that and promised not to repeat the behaviour. He also insisted he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
The Hisbah Board has ordered a complete psychiatric and drug evaluation to assess his mental and physical condition.
Speaking on the incident, Deputy Commander-General of the Hisbah Board, Sheikh Mujahidden Aminuddeen Abubakar, was quoted by Leadership as stating: “It is tragic that a Muslim man would subject himself to such a disgraceful act, ignoring all religious and ethical values.
“This individual clearly lacks any proper understanding of Islam. His pursuit of cheap social media fame has led him into disgrace.”
The Hisbah Board reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding moral conduct and warned against indecent acts, especially those shared publicly in pursuit of social media popularity.
