Man Arrested For Transporting Human Organs

Samson Oghenebreme, a 25-year-old man, has been arrested by operatives of the Odo-Noforija Police Division in the Odomola community of Epe area of Lagos State for being in possession of human organs suspected to be intended for ritual purposes.

According to a statement released by the Lagos State Police Command, Oghenebreme was apprehended on April 25, 2025, following credible intelligence received from concerned members of the public who reported his suspicious movements.

Hundeyin explained that preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was allegedly transporting the human organs from Edo State to deliver them to a native doctor for a suspected money ritual.

“The recovered organs have since been deposited at the General Hospital in Epe for proper preservation and forensic analysis,” the police said.

He asserted that the case had been transferred to the Edo State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution, as the origin of the crime fell under their jurisdiction.

The Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Olohundare Jimoh, praised the swift action of his officers and the vigilance of the Odomola community.

“This arrest underscores the importance of timely information sharing between the public and the police. We commend the community for their alertness and urge continued cooperation,” said Jimoh.

He further assured residents that the Lagos State Police Command remains committed to protecting lives and property, calling on all citizens to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
