The tragic loss of a mother of three has ignited conversations after she reportedly refused a life-saving blood transfusion as a Jehovah’s Witness member.
The incident was shared on social media by a user identified as @MrsZanga, who revealed that the deceased was her cousin.
According to the post, the woman declined the medical procedure in adherence to her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness, a religious group known for abstaining from blood transfusions based on their interpretation of biblical teachings.
In her heartfelt post, @MrsZanga wrote:
“My cousin died this morning, leaving behind 3 kids. The youngest is 4 years old. What killed her? She refused blood transfusions because she’s a Jehovah’s Witness.”
She added, “My fear is that the siblings are not even talking to themselves. They’re all Jehovah’s witnesses oo, but they’ve been in malice with each other for years😭😭. I don’t even understand the part of the Bible they study 🤦🏾♀️.”

A social media user @beaubobritton reacted, “I had the same thing happen when I worked in the ER on night shift. A woman was literally bleeding out and I asked one of my female nurse buddies to go in and chat her, woman to woman, and she eventually got the patient to accept a transfusion of 3 units which saved her life.”
Another user @Gravity56565896 added, “I know I’m meant to console you But these Jehovah witness people annoy tf outta me. Like why??? Just accept the damn blood and be there for your family. Sorry for your loss though.”
