BREAKING: Panic As Disgraced Abba Kyari Reportedly Escapes Murder In Prison

Information reaching Naija News House says that that there was serious Panic As Disgraced Abba Kyari Reportedly Escapes Murder In Prison

Disgraced Abba Kyari was nearly murdered at the Kuje prison where he is awaiting trial for drug-related offences.

Inmates who accused Kyari of being untrustworthy in bribe-for-release deals while he was serving in the military were said to be after his life.

The Nigerian Correctional Service, on the other hand, has denied that Kyari was attacked, despite reports that he is being moved to SSS custody.

Disgraced deputy commissioner of police Abba Kyari was nearly assassinated by enraged inmates who accused him of lying in bribe-for-release deals while he was still on the job, according to a Premium Times report.

The attack occurred on Wednesday, May 4, according to internal documents and officials, months after Kyari was remanded following his ongoing trial for drug-related offenses.

According to an unnamed official, there are approximately 190 prisoners who want Kyari killed, with the majority of them serving time for drug offences.

Following the attack, prison officials are reportedly considering transferring Kyari from the Kuje prison to the custody of the State Security Service (SSS).

Despite taking bribes from the Kuje attackers, Kyari allegedly prosecuted them.

Officials are said to have rescued the embattled senior police officer, who has since been kept in an isolated cell “under heavy protection where no one sees him for fear of attack or poisoning.”

Kyari was also said to have had to pay N200,000 to each of the aggrieved inmates “to buy loyalty and peace.”

Despite the settlement, according to sources cited by the newspaper, the aggrieved inmates have continued to threaten Kyari’s life.

According to the report, an official recommendation has been made for Kyari to be transferred out of Kuje to an SSS facility.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Correction Service’s spokesperson, Francis Enobore, denied the attack on Kyari.

According to Enobore, he said:

“I’m not aware that Abba Kyari paid anyone to ensure his safety while incarcerated.”

Before he was disgraced, DCP Kyari was a decorated “super cop” who led the Inspector-General Police’s elite Intelligence Response Team.

He was first suspended from police duties after being named as an accomplice in Ramon Abbas’ international fraud and money laundering scheme by American investigators in July 2021.

In February 2022, while he was on suspension awaiting the outcome of an internal investigation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) accused him of involvement in a drug trafficking conspiracy.

He was charged in court and remanded in Kuje prison in March.

Kyari has not been convicted of any crime and has stated that he is innocent of the allegations against him.
