Law Enforcement Officers Killed At Training Centre

At least three sheriff’s deputies were killed after an explosion at a law enforcement training centre in Los Angeles, United States, on Friday morning, officials say.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the incident, stating that three members of the agency had died in a “critical workplace incident” that occurred at the Biscailuz Center Academy Training around 7:30 a.m.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear, but the Sheriff’s Department said its homicide detectives were carrying out investigations on the site of the incident.

“My heart goes out to the families, friends, and colleagues of the three individuals who lost their lives in what appears to have been a devastating explosion,” said Hilda Solis, a Los Angeles County supervisor whose district includes the training centre.
