    Boko Haram Logistics Suppliers Arrested

The Nigerian Army has reportedly apprehended three suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers in Borno State.

The suspects identified as Tijjani Ali (49), Isiyaka Hassan (25), and Ali Idris (19), were arrested in a daring stop-and-search operation along the Maiduguri-Konduga road on September 25.

According to a report with pictures shared by security source, Zagazola Makama, on his official X (former Twitter) handle, the suspects were caught with five jerricans of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) concealed in a “Ghana-must-go” bags.

Two of the suspects, according to investigators quoted, worked as filling station attendants at AY Shettima Investment Ltd along Bama road, raising suspicions about their involvement in supplying fuel to the terrorist group.

The suspects are currently in custody, undergoing further investigation.

This recent arrest brings to mind previous successful operations by the Nigerian Army against Boko Haram logistics suppliers.

In April 2024, six individuals suspected of supplying logistics to Boko Haram were apprehended by troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in Mafa LGA of Borno State.

The suspects were found with a truck loaded with Arabic gum valued at N2 million.

In August 2024, the Nigerian Army arrested two suspected Boko Haram commanders, Bana Yamode and Babagana Usman, who had previously led attacks on troops in the area.

Two suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers, Mallam Mustapha Ismaila and Abdulmudalabi Haruna, were also apprehended during the operation.

Earlier on Friday, It was reported that troops of the Nigerian Army had killed a suspected arms courier who was ferrying assault rifles into a Kwara State community and recovered a large cache of weapons hidden inside a sack of charcoal.

A military statement, indicated that the operation was carried out by troops of 22 Armoured Brigade under Operation Park Strike V during a snap checkpoint along the Share–Gbugbu Road in Edu Local Government Area on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Acting on what was described as “credible intelligence,” soldiers intercepted a Volkswagen Golf 3 with registration number Bayelsa SAG-133 XA. The driver, who attempted to escape, was immediately neutralised by troops.

A thorough search of the vehicle uncovered five AK-47 rifles and three magazines stuffed inside a charcoal sack to evade detection.
