Tension As Man Climbs Billboard In Suicide Attempt

There was panic in Kano on Monday after a yet-to-be-identified man climbed a tall billboard at the Gadar Lado axis along Zaria Road in what many suspect to be a suicide attempt.

Eyewitnesses say the man scaled the towering structure and remained perched on it for over an hour, speaking incoherently and ignoring attempts by passersby and emergency responders to engage him. His actions drew a large crowd, causing a serious traffic jam in the already busy area.

Security personnel and rescue officials were quickly deployed to the scene to manage the situation and prevent any tragedy. However, communication with the distressed individual remained difficult due to the height of the billboard and his apparent indifference to those below.

Authorities are continuing efforts to safely bring the man down and determine the reasons behind his actions. Meanwhile, residents have been urged to remain calm and allow emergency services to carry out their work.
