Riley Moore Blows Hot, Declares Nigeria World’s Most Dangerous Country For Christians

The United States Congressman, Riley Moore, has said that Nigeria is the most dangerous country to be Christian in the entire world. Moore stated this at the United States Commission International Religious Freedom, USCIRF, event on Thursday.

He was reacting to global Christian persecution with a focus on Nigeria, where he said Christians are being killed because of their faith. The lawmaker said, “So I think as many of us know, Nigeria is the most dangerous country in the world to be a Christian. It’s the most dangerous place in the world to profess your faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

According to him, since 2009, there has been between 50,000 on the low end to 100,000 Christians, who have been killed, adding that tens of thousands of churches have been burned and millions of Christians been displaced. Recounting his experience in Nigeria, the lawmaker said, in Benue State alone, he witnessed 600,000 Christians living in Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camps, saying he had a one-on-one discussion with them. “When I was there, I will tell you, it was one of the most tragic scenes I’ve ever seen. The positions that they’re having to survive in,” he added.
