NANM Announces Date For The Forthcoming Election.
NOTICE OF SALE OF NOMINATION FORMS
The National Assembly New Media (NANM) Electoral Committee wishes to inform all interested members that the sale of nomination forms for the forthcoming General Election, scheduled to hold in January 2026, has commenced.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
1. Chairman
2. Vice Chairman(Senate)
3. Vice Chairman ( House of Representatives)
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer
5. Public Relations Officer
6. Welfare Officer
7.Chief Whip
8. Assistant Secretary
9.Financial Secretary
ELIGIBILITY
A person shall be eligible to contest for an office in the NASS NEW MEDIA if he/she;
Is an accredited correspondent of National Assembly.
Be a registered member and financially up-to-date with the Forum.
Is a duly registered member of NUJ.
Has spent a minimum of one (1) year as a registered/accredited member of the forum.
Is an employee/employer of a recognized media organization.
Is not indebted financially in any way to the forum.
Is a known and regular member of the forum, with at least, 70 percent attendance in all the congresses held as of when the Credentials Committee was constituted.
KEY DATES
– Sale of forms: November 1- November 30, 2025
– Submission deadline: December 15, 2025
– Screening of candidates: December 2025 (exact date to be announced)
– Election date: January 2026 (a date to be decided )
FORM COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION
Nomination forms can be obtained from the Electoral Committee Chairman’s office
Completed forms must be submitted within the stipulated time.
