Popular Nigerian rapper, Portable Omolalomi has blasted the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for arresting two of his colleagues Oniyide Azeez better known as Zinoleesky and Ilerioluwa Oladimeji (Mohbad).
As we reported, Zinoleesky, 26, and 22-year-old Mohbad were early this morning arrested after NDLEA officials swooped in at their residence in Lagos.
Portable, real name Habeeb Okikiola, in a series of videos on his Instagram story, condemned the arrest and claimed that the federal agency would not try that with him.
The 27-year-old ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker stated that he is a gangster and that if NDLEA dared come to his house “they will collect”. According to him, smoking ‘Igbo’ in private is not wrong. Watch Portable in the two videos below.
Meanwhile, NDLEA has given more details on the morning raid.
A spokesman for the agency told Daily Trust that five people were arrested during the raid, three males and two females.
Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy said the suspects including the fast-rising singers were arrested “because we had reliable information that they were in possession of drugs. We moved in on them and recovered drugs.”
“When their house was searched we found in their possession molly and cannabis,” Babafemi said. “The investigation is still ongoing but we have to trace where they are getting these substances from.”
Popular singer Naira Marley, whose record label the arrested singers are under, reacted to the incident: “I’m so angry right now.”
