Netanyahu Apologises To Qatar Over Strikes On Hamas Leaders In Doha
The Israeli government has formally apologised for its attack on a residential neighbourhood in Doha, Qatar, which struck the headquarters of the Hamas negotiating delegation.
The Israeli leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, said this in a phone call with the United States and Qatari leaders.
The call involved US President Donald Trump, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and the Israeli Prime Minister, as Washington moved to manage the fallout from the incident and reaffirm regional security commitments.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani opened the call by thanking President Trump for his efforts to achieve peace in the region, including guarantees that aggression against Qatar would not be repeated and reaffirming the United States’ commitment to its defence partnership with the country.
During the call, the Israeli Prime Minister apologised for the attack on Doha and on Qatar’s sovereignty, which resulted in the martyrdom of Qatari citizen Badr Al-Dosari, pledging to not repeat any targeting of Qatari territory in the future.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Qatar’s absolute and unequivocal rejection of any infringement on its sovereignty under any circumstances, emphasising that protecting its citizens and residents is a top priority.
He further expressed appreciation for the assurances conveyed to safeguard the State of Qatar from being a target, and for the commitments undertaken to ensure that such violations will not be repeated.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the exchange highlights Qatar’s readiness to continue engaging in efforts to bring an end to the war in the Gaza Strip, within the framework of President Trump’s initiative.
The statement added that the approach reflects Qatar’s longstanding commitment to resolving crises through diplomacy and promoting regional security and stability.
Meanwhile SaharaReporters earlier on Monday reported that Donald Trump, assured Israel and Qatar that future incidents would be prevented following an Israeli missile strike in Qatar that killed a Qatari serviceman.
The White House in a statement on Monday said the US president held a trilateral call with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Qatari Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, which was aimed at restoring trust and addressing the fallout from the strike.
During the call, the leaders agreed to establish a trilateral mechanism to enhance coordination, improve communication, and resolve mutual grievances while reinforcing longstanding ties with the United States.
