Troops Felicitate With Ngoshe Residents At Sallah, Reassure Safety

The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the safety and security of communities in the North East, as the Commander, 26 Task Force Brigade, Brigadier General NI Abdullahi, joined residents of Ngoshe, Borno State, to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr. The Sallah visit underscored the Army’s sustained operational presence and its resolve to protect lives and property, while fostering confidence among the local population.

Addressing the residents, the Commander conveyed a strong message of hope and assurance, emphasizing that ongoing military operations have significantly improved the security situation in the area. He urged the community to remain vigilant and continue to cooperate with security forces, noting that collective effort remains critical to consolidating gains against terrorism.

Brigadier General Abdullahi also called for resilience among the people, assuring them that the Nigerian military will not relent in its mission to restore lasting peace and enable the full return of normal socio-economic activities in Ngoshe and the entire North East. He highlighted that the safety of Ngoshe and surrounding communities remains a top operational priority of the Brigade.

Prayers were offered for victims of insurgency, reflecting a shared commitment to healing and rebuilding efforts. Community members, in turn, expressed gratitude for the military’s sacrifices and enduring presence, acknowledging the improved security and appealing for sustained support, particularly in infrastructure rehabilitation.

In a symbolic gesture of goodwill, the Commander interacted with residents and shared moments of celebration with children, reinforcing the bond between the military and the community. The visit further strengthened civil-military relations and reaffirmed the dedication of the Nigerian Army to ensuring enduring peace, stability, and security across Ngoshe and its environs.
