Police Spokesperson Threatens To Deal With X User Over Photo Of Officers Pushing Patrol Van
Bright Edafe, the Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, is currently under fire after he threatened to deal with an X user, Oghenetega Jacobs (@JacobsShed9ø18), for posting images of Nigerian policemen pushing a police Hilux patrol van.
Jacobs had shared the pictures with the caption: “Let’s start with these ones… Charity should begin at home.”
The post, which appeared to draw attention to the plight of the officers, prompted Edafe’s reaction.
Responding to the post, Edafe wrote: “Until hand meet you.”
The phrase, commonly used in Nigerian Pidgin, is often interpreted as a warning or subtle threat, implying that the person being addressed would eventually face consequences.
The exchange has sparked mixed reactions online, with some users criticising Edafe for issuing what they perceived as a threat, while others defended him.
Edafe, known for his active presence on social media, frequently engages with users over matters concerning the police force.
