JUST IN: High Court Nullifies Ebonyi PDP Congresses
A Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital has a purported Congress by a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) IN Ebonyi State.
A faction of the party led by Mr. Ali Odefa had recently claimed to have conducted PDP ward, local government and state congresses in the state
However in his ruling on suit no. FHC/ AI/CS/183/2024 between Nnenna Lynda Udeh 12 others, Honourable Justice Hilary I. O. Oshomah held that the purpoted congresses were null and void, unconstitutional and of no effect.
The court further restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which was the 2nd defendant in the suit from recognising any of the officers purportedly elected from the voided and nullified congresses.
