Nigerian Police Officer Abducted By Terrorists Begs For Ransom In Video
Pastor Isa Andrew, the Chaplain of the All Saints Police Protestant Church, Mopol 42 Mobile, who was kidnapped along with his 13-year-old daughter, Grace, on July 14, 2024, has made a heartfelt appeal to Nigerians for assistance.
The abducted pastor is urging the Bola Tinubu-led government to help facilitate the payment of the N6million ransom demanded by the kidnappers in exchange for their release.
They made the appeal in a two minute forty-four seconds (2:44s) video released by their abductors giving an ultimatum from Saturday to next week Thursday to produce an additional N6 million naira, two boxer motorcycles and one Honda motorcycle or they would marry off his 13-year-old daughter who is in captivity with her father.
Pastor Andrew and his daughter, Grace were abducted at their residence behind the Karma Hotel bypass in Gusau on the 14th of July, 2024 and have been in the terrorists’ enclave for about four weeks now.
According to Pastor Andrew, his family had negotiated with the terrorists and paid N6 million as ransom after it had sold all the items they had and received assistance from people of goodwill.
He said their abductors were still demanding an additional six million naira, two boxer motorcycles and one Honda motorcycle before they would free them.
The cleric cried out that his daughter had been exposed to mistreatment which is why he is appealing to the First Lady and other concerned Nigerians to assist them in regaining freedom.
He also disclosed that he has suffered from diabetes and the continued staying in the terrorists’ enclave is worsening his health situation.
Earlier, the abductors had demanded N60 million which the wife of the victim had negotiated with them and they accepted to receive six million naira.
