EXPOSED: 41 Properties Worth ₦212bn to Ex-AGF Malami

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly traced 41 properties valued at about ₦212 billion to a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
Naija News House gathered that the properties were uncovered as part of an ongoing investigation into Malami’s tenure in office. The assets include hotels, residential buildings, parcels of land, schools, and a printing press.
According to findings, the properties are spread across Kebbi State, Kano State, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Assets located in Kebbi State are estimated to be worth ₦162,195,950,000, while those in Kano State are valued at about ₦16,011,800,000. Properties traced to the FCT are said to be worth ₦34,685,000,000.
Sources disclosed that the EFCC has obtained photographs of some of the properties linked to the former minister.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government has filed a 16-count charge against Malami at the Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged money laundering.
Also named as co-defendants in the suit are Malami’s son, Abubakar Abdulaziz Malami, and Bashir Asabe, an employee of Rahamaniyya Properties.
The case is expected to come up for further proceedings at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
