There Is No Provision Without Vision- Pastor Udofia
….I was born as a prophet
….. Plan to launch millions of Naira media equipments
Pastor Imo Okon Udofia of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, FCT Field, has expressed his gratitude to the Nyanya Assembly for being a spiritual church. Speaking with newsmen in his office after the divine service on Sunday, Pastor Udofia shared his vision for the church, emphasizing, “There is no provision without vision. My primary vision for this area is to resuscitate, grow, and promote the spiritual aspect of members’ lives.”
Udofia commended the material aspects of the church but stressed his desire for God to use him to inspire young men and women to be filled with the Holy Spirit for God’s glory. “My first priority here is to address spiritual matters. Every man is subject to time and season. There was a time when this church was renowned far and near, but that is not the case today. I am here to restore the church to its glorious days, where everyone sees each other as brethren in Christ, not as rivals or enemies.”
Newly ordained as an Apostle, Pastor Udofia spoke about his feelings on assuming leadership in Nyanya, a place known as the birthplace of the FCT Field. “Grace can take a man anywhere in life. I am a product of grace; I am not special, but grace has brought me here,” he said.
Udofia noted that while the Nyanya Assembly has been a model filled with God’s glory over the years, it has recently strayed from its roots. “I strongly believe that God will help us not just restore it but take it to more enviable heights.”
Referring to Matthew 17:21, Udofia highlighted the importance of prayer and fasting. “The scriptures explain that no meaningful achievement can be made without prayer and fasting. In my system of leadership, prayer and fasting precede all actions. I intend to achieve everything here through prayers and fasting because the spiritual controls the physical. Once we get the spiritual aspect right, every other aspect will fall into place.”
Udofia also addressed the need for unity within the church, stating, “I noticed that other assemblies and districts operate as if they are autonomous from the area. We will address this so that we can work together as a formidable team to produce a strong and united area to the glory of God.”
Acknowledging the influential elders in the Nyanya Area, Udofia emphasized the importance of collaboration. “It would be very wrong to implement policies without involving the elders. They are the right people to work with if they are being carried along.”
While serving as a general council member in the field and not yet on the executive council, Udofia committed to addressing any wrong practices by channeling them to the appropriate authority. “I was born a prophet, but God elevated me to the role of an Apostle. This dual role allows me to serve more effectively.”
Udofia commended the board of trustees for their oversight, stating, “I really appreciate them. Without their check-and-balance roles, many things could have gone wrong in the field. They are a blessing to this field.”
Pastor Udofia assumed his duties as the Nyanya Area Superintendent on May 19, 2024. In less than a month, he has dedicated two newborn babies and purchased 70 copies of English and Efik hymn books for the Nyanya Assembly. He also revealed plans to launch millions of Naira worth of media equipment soon.
