UN Seeks Experienced Professionals for RC/HC Talent Pipeline

The United Nations Development Coordination Office (DCO) has issued a Call for Expression of Interest for qualified and experienced professionals to join the Resident Coordinator/Humanitarian Coordinator (RC/HC) Talent Pipeline.
The RC/HC Talent Pipeline, jointly managed by the DCO and the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), is aimed at identifying, developing, and preparing high-calibre leaders for senior coordination roles within the United Nations system. The initiative seeks to expand and diversify the pool of eligible candidates, with strong emphasis on gender balance and equitable geographical representation.
Successful candidates admitted into the Talent Pipeline will have access to structured development opportunities designed to strengthen leadership, coordination, and humanitarian response competencies. However, admission into the pipeline does not guarantee automatic appointment. Candidates seeking RC/HC positions are required to separately apply for and successfully complete the Resident Coordinator Assessment Centre (RCAC).
Applications for the current cycle will close on Thursday, 12 February 2026, at 23:59 hours (EST). While United Nations staff members must obtain formal nominations from their respective governments, non-UN professionals are eligible to apply directly without prior nomination.
Comprehensive information on eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the overall framework of the RC/HC Talent Pipeline is available on the official UN Sustainable Development Group website at:
    https://unsdg.un.org/2030-agenda/leadership/resident-coordinator-humanitarian-coordinator-rchc-talent-pipeline
Qualified individuals with proven leadership experience and a strong commitment to multilateral cooperation, humanitarian action, and sustainable development are encouraged to apply within the stipulated timeframe.

Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja
