This now brings the total number of classroom blocks donated by Rep. Idem to schools across Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency to 22.
Also, Rep. Idem is constructing a well equipped ICT centre in Ikot Udo Obobo, Ukanafun Local Government Area.
This takes Rep. Idem’s donation of ICT centres to schools and communities across the federal constituency to 10.
These classroom blocks and ICT centre will be furnished upon completion, with solar-powered street lights installed to enhance aesthetics and provide adequate security against vandalism.
Also at the foundation laying ceremony, Rep. Idem announced that plans have been concluded for the construction of a 4-kilometre High Court – Obio Ndot road in Oruk Anam Local Government Area.
Recall that in April 2024, the federal lawmaker commissioned a well constructed 4KM Ikot Akpan Essien – Ikot Obong – Ikot Ukpong Eren road in Oruk Anam local government area, to bring the total number of kilometres of roads constructed in Oruk Anam local government area alone to 8 kilometres, outside Ukanafun local government area.
Rep. Idem believes these projects will bridge the infrastructure deficit in critical sectors in the federal constituency.
He also appealed to schools that are yet to benefit from the gesture to be patient, assuring that no school in Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency will be left out.
Also speaking at the event, stakeholders in the federal constituency, including the member representing Ukanafun state constituency, Hon. Emem Udom, Commissioner 1, Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Saturday Akpan and immediate past council chairman of Ukanafun, Dr. Godwin Inyieng, extolled Rep. Idem for his sterling performance and prayed for God’s blessings and lifting upon him, so he can do more for the people.
