Senator Ned Nwoko Shut Down Delta State Over Massive Projects, Empowerment

The Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has shut down his senatorial district with massive projects and empowerment programs, according to Naija News House reports.

Senator Nwoko revealed his one-year achievements in office to journalists in Abuja, stating, “I’ve achieved remarkable results in embarking on massive projects.”

Speaking through his chief of staff and constituency project coordinator, Dr. Micheal Nwoko, he confirmed that Senator Ned was the first senator in the 10th senate to commission a project in less than a year in office. This achievement resulted from his quest to change the narrative in Nigeria’s political space.

Dr. Micheal Nwoko noted that Senator Ned has commissioned an all-in-one solar street lights project in Kwale, Ndokwa West local government area, as part of his one-year office achievements. “Undoubtedly, Senator Ned Nwoko’s outing since resumption of office in the 10th Senate has been impressive, with visible projects in Agbor and Kwale,” he said.

The lawmaker emphasized his commitment to even project distribution across the senatorial district, as promised during his election campaign. The first phase of the project will cover three major cities across the three federal constituencies in Delta North Central district. Subsequent phases will be implemented in Asaba and Agbor.

Key Projects and Initiatives:

– Solar Street Light Projects: Commissioned in Kwale, with upcoming projects in Aniocha North local government area and Idumuje Ugboko.

– Water Intervention Projects: Ongoing projects in Idumuje Ugboko and Umunede, Ika North East Local Government Area.

– Road Infrastructure Development: Rehabilitation of failed sections on the Benin-Asaba expressway and new road projects in Aniocha North Local Government Area.

– Empowerment Programs: Training and empowerment programs for youths, women, farmers, and Muslims, with stipends provided.

– Health Empowerment: Free medical outreach programs, with five successful eye surgeries and other medical interventions.

Dr. Micheal Nwoko concluded that Senator Ned has performed excellently within his first year in office, arguably making him the best senator in the 10th Senate and Delta North Central district. With more projects in the pipeline, Senator Ned is committed to ensuring their swift implementation for the public’s benefit.

Meanwhile, Naija News Houseย  during the interview with Dr. Micheal Nwoko at the National Assembly witnessed lot of young men and women from Delta North trooping in batches to obtain recommendations letters from the distinguished senator’s office for job/employment :a gesture that is rare with southern senators.
