Tears As Woman Slumps, Dies At Park In Abuja

Tragedy struck in Abuja on January 1, 2025, as a middle-aged woman, identified as Alice Emmanuel, slumped and died in front of Benue Links Park in Area 3.

The incident occurred around 9:25 a.m. shortly after she alighted from a taxi.

Eyewitnesses reported that the park manager promptly contacted the police, who rushed Emmanuel to Karu General Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors confirmed her death upon arrival. Preliminary examinations found no signs of violence on her body.

The spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased’s family has been notified, and her remains have been deposited in the hospital’s morgue. Investigations into the circumstances of her death are ongoing.
