Tinubu Speaks On Ministerial Nominees List
Information reaching Naija News House says that Tinubu Speaks On Ministerial Nominees List
The presidency on Thursday broken its silence on the ministerial nominees list of President Bola Tinubu.
The Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Dele Alake, said Tinubu will reveal ministerial nominees when he is ready.
Alake said this while responding to questions from State House Correspondents.
He said, “About the ministerial list, the simple truth is that, as you know, this is an executive presidency; we’re not running a parliamentary system. So the bucks stop on the President’s table, and he decides when it’s fit and proper for him to make his cabinet list. We are not aware of all the speculations, innuendos, rumours, and all kinds of things in the media. Now, as a media man, I chuckle to myself that people want to sell, so they just fabricate. I can tell you that all of those things you’ve been reading in the media are mere fabrications. There is not an iota of truth in all of those things. When the President is good and ready, you will be the first to know about his intentions.”
He explained that the President is very aware of the law mandating him to send the names of his cabinet to the National Assembly within 60 days.
Alake also spoke on the recent visits of some opposition members in the country to the president.
Recall that Tinubu had on Wednesday received former Senate President and Secretary To The Government of the Federation, SGF Pius Anyim, and Ex-PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh at the Presidential Villa.
