Ahead of 2023 general election, on Monday with a former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, now Senator of federal republic of Nigeria announcing the plan to form a new political movement in Nigeria.
The senator representing Imo west senatorial District in the upper chamber, Rochas Okorocha, revealed that himself and other progressive-minded politicians in Nigeria were perfecting the plan as a result of making Nigeria to be the where people want and to stop complaints, hardship in the country against the current state of the nation.
According to Senator Okorocha, looking at the body language of the Nigerians, it was obvious that they were not satisfied with the current situation of Nigeria.
Okorocha, who is one of the founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), revealed the plans in an interview with journalists in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja
Recall that when Rivers State Governor, Bar. Nyesom Wike invited Okorocha to commission projects in Rivers State recently, he provoked a fresh controversy when he called on the good people in All Progressive party, People Democracy party, other parties to come together and rescue Nation in 2023.
On Monday, He said that there was an urgent attention for the reorganizing of the ‘good politicians’ to restore public confidence and save the country from collapses.
Also stated that, Nigerians cannot be fooled Again by bad politicans in the upcoming 2023 general election, he insisted that Nigeria needed political reengineering,
As the new Nigeria has begun, I mean progressive Nigerians to make the country work again “ we must come together to make it work and stand firmly” Okorocha said.
Whe was Asked if the promise of the new political movement for a new Nigeria would not be like that of the All Progressive party in 2015, he, said the All Progressive party (APC) was hurriedly formed to take power from the People Democracy party without much emphasis on the character of those top members in the party.
Okorocha assured that the political alliance is being championed by individuals with a demonstrated history of accomplishment and public soul, adding that it was not any more ideal to permit individuals who don’t have a certifiable love for the solidarity and progress of the nation to control power.
Though we are yet to know the name of the new Party and those that are members, but we think the party will not be for only APC, but also others parties members.
