774,000 JOBS: Minister kicks off with wheelbarrow, cutlass empowerment
Hon. Festus Keyamo (SAN), The Minister of State, Labour & Employment and Former Min. of State, Niger-Delta Affairs has started the Special Public Works Programme (774,000) jobs in his own Local Government Area Uvwie Local government Area in Delta State.
Honourable Keyamo launched the programme in style by empowering the Youth in his own Local Government Area in Delta State with cutlass and wheelbarrow.
Keyamo who is Delta State indigen decided to promoting agriculture in his own State.
Recall that, the 774,000 Jobs supposed to be 1000 persons in each of the local government Area across Nigeria, and the Job was expected to commences since October 2020 but delayed to January 2021.
Naija News House gathered that, the jobs which supposed to commences last year delayed till now because of some challenges between national assembly and presidency.
But we yet to confirm whether the jobs commenced as initial plan with 1000 per Local government Area, or whether there are some part that need to wait till fully commences, also to find out how much is the salary.
