BREAKING: Abuja Court finally Grants Sowore, four others Bail, Abuja Magistrate Court has granted bail to Omoyele Sowore, Sahara Reporters’ publisher in the sum of N20 million ( Twenty million Naria only)
The bail also granted for other Four activists, who were arrested with Sowore on New Year’s Eve in Abuja for holding a protest against bad governance with the sum of N1 million ( One million Naria only) each.
The five activists who are standing trial for alleged unlawful criminal conspiracy and inciting public distrubance are Sowore, Juwon Sanyaolu, Peter Williams, Emmanuel Bulus, and Damilare Adenola.
Mabel Segun Bello, The Chief Magistrate ruling on the bail application on Monday filed admitted Sowore to bail in the sum of N20million and two sureties in like sum.
The court instructed Sahara reporters’ Sowore not to leave to Abuja and must physically report to the court every Monday and Friday till the hearing and determination of the case against him.
The court also ordered his sureties to be a civil servant not below grade level 12.
