It was confirmed federal government also ready to engage in both domestic and foreign borrowings to fund the 2021 budget, it is also clear that many of government-owned properties will be sold to achieve the same purpose.
During presentation in Abuja on Tuesday by the finance minister, Zainab Ahmed, to stakeholders about the signed 2021 budget. It was contained, The government will also sell some non-oil assets to serve as additional source of finance for the year’s budget.
On December 31, 2020, President Muhammadu Buhari signed the N13.58 trillion budget for the 2021 fiscal year, which about N505 billion higher than the budget proposed in October, 2020.
