The young woman in the viral story facing the dilemma of choosing between her boyfriend who promised to marry her and a fully-funded Masters’s program abroad has taken a decision.
A Nigerian-Canadian Computer Science Professor, Rita Orji had brought the story on social media.
According to Prof Rita, the girl had said her boyfriend promised her marriage. He reportedly said the relationship would be over if she travels out for her education.
A multitude of social media users had offered pieces of advice for the confused lady with many saying she should opt for self-development as she is young and would see another man who could be better than her boyfriend.
For instance, Ric Hassani, a Nigerian singer, in his reaction had said: “At 22, if you’re reading this, please leave that guy/imbecile, block him on all platforms, go for your Master’s Degree and Flourish as God has intended you to. I will sing at your wedding when you meet the man really meant for you. I hope you see this.”
It appears the lady had seen the advice and has now bought her flight ticket to travel for the fully-funded Master’s degree program, according to Prof Rita.
