Ever since the former Governor of Lagos state, who is also the national leader of the All Progressive Congress, declared his intention to run for the presidency, many people across the nation have endorsed him.
Some APC leaders, like the governor of Niger state, Sani Bello, and the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo Olu, have talked about him in a good way, which gives him the highest chance of getting the APC presidential tickets among the contesters.
Firstly, it was widely believed by many people that Bola Tinubu was not medically stable, as it was reported some hours ago that he had jetted out for a medical checkup, although another source claimed that Tinubu traveled out to see his family. But based on the fact that he was not present at the program of ABAT yesterday that happened in Ikeja, many believed that he may have initially traveled out to see a doctor.
This health issue may push the APC cabals who have already thrown their weight behind Tinubu to make a U-turn and back the vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, who is strong as the party flag bearer since he is also qualified.
Apart from that, there are many Northern leaders who believe that Osinbajo has something better to offer Nigeria than anybody else, such as Ibrahim Babangida and so on, even though Osinbajo has never declared his intention to run.
Apart from that, Osinbajo’s young age may attract the APC cabals’ attention to him because a young president is what many Nigerians want, and the fact that he is also a strong politician who can win the presidency seat for the party against the PDP in the next election.
