I Was Minister 16 Years Ago And Know How Challenging It Can Be – Fani-Kayode Cries Out For Help Over Exclusion From Ministerial List
A former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the two batches of ministerial nominees released by President Bola Tinubu in which his name was conspicuously missing.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio had read the two lists as forwarded to the chamber by the presidency during plenary.
Femi Gbajabiamila, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and presently the Chief of Staff to the president, delivered the lists to Akpabio.
Fani-Kayode, who many had thought, would be made a minister was missing from the long-awaited lists.
He had defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress long before the elections and was even among the spokespersons of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
Reacting to the ministerial list in a tweet on Thursday, Fani-Kayode reminded Tinubu and Nigerians that he was a minister 16 years ago and knew how challenging the positions could be.
He also urged Nigerians to support them with prayers.
Fani-Kayode said, “Congratulations to all those in both the first and second Ministerial lists of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT). They are all excellent choices and I wish them the very best in their service to our great nation. I was a Minister 16 years ago and I know how taxing and challenging it can be.
“We must remember them in our prayers and ask God to guide them in all their endeavours as they make difficult choices for our nation and assist Mr. President. God will use them to take our great nation to a higher level.”
Congratulations to all those in both the first and second Ministerial lists of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT).
