EXPOSED: Yahaya Bello Lobbies Tinubu To Upturn Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Appeal Court Case, Sends Traditional Rulers, Others To Abuja
The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has perfected a plot to ensure that the Court of Appeal ruling to decide the authentic winner of the Kogi Central senatorial election favours the All Progressives Congress (APC) and goes against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mrs Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
It was learnt that Yahaya Bello has sent Kogi first class traditional rulers to meet with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja to influence the presidency and stop the confirmation of Akpoti-Uduaghan, who was the winner declared by the tribunal ruling.
It was further gathered that the governor allegedly brought all the six monarchs (Ohi) in his hometown of Kogi Central district namely; Ohi of Adavi, Okengwe, Okene, Ihima, Eika and Eganyi and some prominent personalities in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, to see Tinubu.
The monarchs have been in Abuja for the past two days trying to see Mr. President to convince him to influence the Appeal Court ruling in favour of his (Bello’s) anointed candidate.
“Bello is trying to convince the president that Natasha’s victory in Appeal Court will affect the success of the APC in the upcoming November governorship poll in the state. They have been in Abuja for the past three days but the President is yet to give them audience,” a top source revealed.
“Governor Bello mobilised all the first class chiefs in Kogi State to meet with Tinubu. The purpose is to have him stall Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s appeal victory because one, Natasha is from the same district as Governor Bello and the APC governorship candidate. Also, a Natasha/PDP victory at the appeal will hinder APC November 11th victory,” another source corroborated.
“These Kogi personalities have been lodged in Abuja for the past 3 days and are yet to see the president. Their unholy act must be stopped and access denied.”
Recall that the Kogi State Election Petition Tribubal in its ruling in September 6 declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the authentic winner of the election.
It was further learnt that Governor Bello could also be visiting the FCT, Abuja, to meet with President Tinubu after the monarchs’ outing.
“Yahaya Bello is in Anyingba. He is awaiting confirmation of his appointment with president before rushing to Abuja. The governor left the monarchs in Abuja and went to Anyingba,” a source revealed.
