Celebrating One Year Of Effective Representation: Jonah Hails Senator Bassey
Comrade Unyime Jonah has congratulated Senator Aniekan Bassey, representing Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, for his one year of effective representation.
Senator Bassey is the immediate past Akwa Ibom state Speaker, member of ECOWAS Parliament and currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture Production Services and Rural Development.
In a statement by Comrade Jonah to congratulate the Senator on his one year in office, which was obtained by Naija News House, he said, “Today I join the entire staff and constituents of Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District in celebrating your one year anniversary in office, I am compelled to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the privilege it has been to serve as your legislative aide.
“Your leadership has been an inspiration to us all, and your commitment to serving the people of Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District has been unwavering. Your dedication to legislative duties has been remarkable, and your tireless efforts have resulted in numerous milestones and achievements that have positively impacted our Senatorial District.
“Within your first one year in office as Senator Federal Republic of Nigeria, you have facilitated employment for your constituents In federal ministries and agencies, facilitated the construction of Eman Ukpa rural farm road, installation of solar panels street lights in selected villages in Uyo, Uruan and Ibesikpo Asutan.
“You have also sponsored free JAMB registration for consituents, provided five hundred thousand naira (N500,000) Business support Grants to entrepreneurs, payment of school fees to students under SAB-RHAB-YES scholarship scheme and Human capacity development through digital skill training to youths in Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District.
“As we look forward to many more years of service, I want to assure you that I will continue to work tirelessly to support your legislative agenda and ensure that your vision for Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District is realized.
