Amid Emirate Crisis Kano Govt Approves Almost N100Million For Renovation Of Nasarawa Emir’s Palace Occupied By Ado Bayero
Amid ongoing legal dispute over the Kano Emirate, the Kano State Executive Council has approved the sum of N99,928,541.63 for the reconstruction and renovation of the Nasarawa palace.
This decision, announced by Governor Abba Yusuf on his official X handle, follows the council’s recent meeting where several other key allocations were also approved.
The fund is intended to be spent to refurbish the fence and surroundings of the palace currently occupied by Alhaji Ado Bayero, who was sacked by the state government.

In addition to the palace renovation, the council also sanctioned other significant expenditures including N81,621,546.76 for a Sickle-Cell Care Unit at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, and N770,858,450.39 for a Post-Midwifery Institute in Gezawa Local Government Area.
There was also contract for the completion of the construction of College of Nursing and Midwifery at Madobi Local Government Area at the sum of 57,066,422.52.
The council also approved the payment for the excess workload allowances for lecturers in the two state-owned universities, Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST) and Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano (YUMSUK) at the sum of 447,621,640.79.
