Sowore Mocks Council Of State Meeting Involving Tinubu, Buhari, Jonathan, Others; Calls Them Names
Omoyele Sowore, the convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, has ridiculed the Council of State meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday.
Sowore, a human rights activist and former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, disparagingly described the gathering of former presidents and heads of state, including immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari, as a ‘meeting of failures’.
In a post on his X account, Sowore wrote, “Failure meeting Failure: Today in Abuja at the Presidential Villa, a former failed President @MBuhari had a meeting with the current failed President @officialABAT.”
Naija News House had earlier reported that Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was conspicuously absent from the Council of State meeting held at the Presidential Villa, which was chaired by President Bola Tinubu.
Former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan, Yakubu Gowon, and Abdulsalami Abubakar joined the meeting virtually, alongside other attendees.
The Council of State, which provides advisory support to the President on critical policy matters, includes the Vice President, Senate President, and other high-ranking officials.
This gathering comes on the heels of nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests against economic hardship and fuel subsidy removal.
