BREAKING: A’Ibom LG Polls: Ekpenyong Handover To His Vice, Photos
Following the forthcoming Akwa Ibom local government elections, The Transition Committee Chairman of Uruan, Hon. Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong has formally relinquishes his position and transfers leadership of the Council to his Vice Chairman, Hon. (Evang.) Uduak Daniel Udoenang, Naija News House gathered.
Speaking during the handing over, Surv. Ekpenyong expressed his deepest gratitude to Evang. Udoenang, describing her as a loyal friend, sister, and Vice Chairman. He acknowledged her instrumental role in his success, both as a democratically elected and Transition Chairman.
In her response, Hon. Udoenang radiated joy and appreciation, thanking God for the opportunity to serve. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Ekpenyong whom she worked with and gained a lot of experience. She pledged to work tirelessly to ensure Ekpenyong’s return to power for a second term, building on his impressive legacy.
Hon. Evang. Uduak Udoenang also thanked her husband, Arc. (Elder) Daniel Udoenang, for his unwavering support. She acknowledged his sacrifices and promised not to fail him throughout her political journey.
NNH gathered that, Surv. Ekpenyong was elected as uruan local government Boss in 2020, after his successful three years tenure, he was appointed as Transition Committee Chairman.
NNH understand that, Ekpenyong resigned his position to contest for uruan local government Chairman on 5th October.
The event was witnessed by the Transition Secretary Hon. Daniel Ufe, the Transition Committee members, some ward leaders, Head of Service, Uruan Local Government, Director of Agriculture as well as Revenue Consultant to the Council, Mr. Daniel Nyong.
