A’Ibom LG Polls: Senator Bassey Receives Ekpenyong
Following the forthcoming Akwa Ibom local government elections, Senator Aniekan Bassey , the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East and Political leader of Uruan, has received Hon. Survy Iniobong Ekpenyong , the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate, his running mate, Mrs. Grace Edem and all the 13 ward Councilorship candidates of PDP and proudly presented by the chapter Chairman, Mr. Cletus Udobang, at an enlarged meeting of past and present Uruan political office holders and stakeholders.
With a deep sense of purpose, Senator Bassey’s address was filled with passion as he presented Iniobong Ekpenyong and his running mate, Mrs. Grace Edem to the Uruan people, charging them to rally around and support them, as well as all Councillors in the 13 wards to ensure a resounding victory.
The event, held at the magnificent 4000-capacity hall built for Uruan by Senator Aniekan Bassey was a testament to his unwavering dedication to the upliftment of Uruan. With heartfelt gratitude, Senator Bassey seized the moment to express his deepest appreciation to Pastor Umo Eno, whose selfless support has been a pillar of strength for Uruan’s growth and development.
Speaking during the meeting also was the Hon Commissioner for Internal Security and Waterways General Koko Essien Rtd who applauded the magnanimity of His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno for the peace Akwa Ibom State is enjoying. He thanked the Uruan political leaders and the entire Uruan people for their unreserved commitment and love for the Uruan project. He congratulated the flag bear of PDP in Uruan Hon Surv Iniobong Ekpenyong, his Vice, and all the Councilorship candidates and urged them to play the game with maximum decorum before and after the elections.
Prince Godwin Udeh PhD, in his remarks, urged Iniobong Ekpenyong to remember that “politics is a game of interest, but when the decisions are made, it’s time to put Uruan first.” The crowd erupted in applause as Iniobong Ekpenyong, his words filled with determination, vowed to deliver on his promises, thanking Senator Aniekan Bassey and the party leaders for their trust.
As the event drew to a close, the atmosphere was electrified with stakeholders firing up and ready to work tirelessly for victory in all wards. With Iniobong Ekpenyong at the helm, Uruan stands poised on the threshold of greatness, and the PDP family is ready to make it happen.
