Chelsea finally sale the highly rated defender, it has been reported that the summer transfer window has opened officially and Chelsea will be in the lookout for some quality players ahead of next season.
The Blues are highly interested in signing Inter Milan wingback Achraf Hakimi, with Thomas Tuchel’s side having presented a player plus cash deal on the table but due to financial setbacks around Inter, the Italian club only want a cash deal.
With that in mind, Chelsea are now ready to offload a number of players this summer as they’re surplus to requirements for the club.
And according to the Daily Mail, Huddersfield head coach Carlos Corberán has expressed his delight after the club signed Levi Colwill from Chelsea.
Colwill, who has featured in the England Under-17 level, is a naturally left footed center back and has made drastic improvement through the ranks recent times.
Having made 18 appearances for Chelsea’s Under-23 side in the Premier League 2 last campaign, he ended the season training with Tuchel’s senior team in the build-up to their Champions League victory over Manchester City.
However, speaking to Sky Sports after Huddersfield managed to complete a deal for Colwill, Coach Carlos Corberán said,
“I will be looking forward to working with Levi this season, as he’s a very smart talented player with huge potentials.
“He has many of the attributes we’re lacking in our center backs. His athletic and athletic ability will help the team very well in defending the space behind”.
