After Pastor Adeboye’s Comment, Odumeje Sends Strong Warning To Nigerian Pastors, Vows To Make Them Dumb, Deaf, Others
Controversial prophet, Chukwuemeka Ohanere, the general overseer of The Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, popularly known as Odumeje, has warned Nigerian pastors to stop their prayers for Israel.
Odumeje went as far as threatening to render them “deaf and dumb” if they continued to pray for the Middle Eastern nation.
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza has made headlines worldwide.
The recent escalation of violence between Israel and Hamas has been ongoing for two weeks, resulting in numerous casualties, especially in the Gaza Strip.
The situation remains volatile and concerning, and some Nigerian clerics have reacted.
In a video that has gone viral, Odumeje claimed that most pastors praying for Israel are neglecting their own country, Nigeria.
In the video trending online, Odumeje stated that most pastors praying for Israel are not praying for Nigeria.
The Anambra-based cleric said, “All these pastors praying for Israel, you have not even prayed for your country, Nigeria. Any pastor that I hear pray ‘pim’ for any Israel, I will make you deaf and dumb.”
In a video message via his X platform handle, Mr Odumeje’s statement came weeks after Nigerian pastor, Enoch Adeboye, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God said he would pray for Israel to be victorious.
In the now-deleted video, he said, “Hello, my beloved brothers in Israel; I want you to know that we are praying for you, that all members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide are standing by you at this critical moment.
“The Almighty God, the only one of Israel, will give you absolute victory and permanent peace from now on in the mighty name of Jesus. It’s going to be well with you; we pray that this one will be the war that will end all wars in Israel, that from now on, it will be peace, it will be progress, and no one ever again will disturb Israel.”
However, the respected cleric received intense criticism for the post, which forced the church to delete the video.
Meanwhile, the Israel-Gaza conflict began earlier this month and has resulted in significant casualties. Over 1,300 Israelis lost their lives in attacks by Hamas, while Israel initiated retaliatory strikes on Gaza, resulting in the deaths of over 3,000 Palestinians.
The conflict also forced at least one million people in Gaza to be internally displaced, leaving many without electricity since 11 October.
