BREAKING: Zulum’s convoy crash leaves 3 dead
Not less than Three persons died in a road accident involving the convoy of Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum on Tuesday
The governor was not hurt in the early morning crash, but three of those who accompanied him to his hometown of Mafa, lost their lives.
One of the victims included the Chief of Kanuri people in Lagos, Mai Masa Mohammed, who was also the Sarkin Hausa of Ijora.
Governor Zulum’s motorcade was returning to Maiduguri, a police source told TheCable, after he had successfully flagged off the membership revalidation exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mafa.
One of the vehicles in the convoy suffered burst tyre, witnesses said, before it swerved off the road and somersaulted, killing the three occupants.

Governor Zulum was said to have accompanied the corpse of the late Mai Masa Mohammed to his family compound in the Bulumkutu area of Maiduguri where he is being prepared for burial later today.
