BREAKING: EFCC Arrests 8 ”Yahoo” Boys In Port Harcourt
Information reaching naija news house has it that the officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Portharcourt zonal division said on Monday 28, 2021 that it has apprehended 8 suspected yahoo boys, at Royal Palm Estate in Portharcourt, Rivers State.
The anti-graft agency gave the names of the suspects as Bright James Achesomie, Godgift Clinton, Ebitamuno Abereoku, Samuel Akunna, Ugbe John Paul, Harvey Orji, Joshua Pina and Theophilus Monday. The agency said the arrests were made following credible intelligence gathering. Initial investigation reportedly traced the suspects to bitcoin and romance fraud.
While giving the list of items recovered from the suspects, which were displayed to the press include three exotic cars: one white Land cruiser sports utility vehicle, one ash Lexus ES 350, one white Lexus RS 330 sports utility vehicle. Others include 1 Identity Card, 2 smart watches, 2 ATM cards, 3 laptops, 3 zealot speakers, 4 different models of smart phones and 11 different models of iphones.
The agency promised to charge the suspects to court after it concluded its investigations on them.
